30 Olympic and world champion skaters join forces on the ice to create a show of passion, pace and nothing short of pure adrenaline. There’s a global connection between every performer in this show, languages become universal and skaters unite to weave a colourful tapestry of emotion and art.
High-speed, high-skill skating combined with cutting edge effects and theatrical flair. Elements that seem near impossible to recreate on the unforgiving ice, are made possible. Prepare to see the ice set on fire – literally. Backflip, triple spin, round of applause, big grin.
11,000 rhinestones handstitched, complemented by hand-picked ostrich and pheasant feathers. Designed, made, fitted and altered in-house.
Take your seat but only use the edge of it. It’s nail-biting, hair-raising, awe-inspiring, tear-jerking. It’s Hot Ice XC.

Event Details
Crossing the Bar is a moving poem written by Alfred, Lord Tennyson (1809-1892) in 1889. It is a meditative and hopeful poem that uses the metaphor of a sea voyage to describe the transition from life to death. Tennyson, who wrote the poem near the end of his life, portrays death not as something to fear but as a natural, inevitable, and quiet transition. He famously requested that this poem be placed at the end of all future collections of his work, serving as his own final farewell. The exhibition will consist of seascapes, coastal scenes, and marine paintings. It will include loans from other regional institutions.
Crossing the Bar
Sunset and evening star,
And one clear call for me!
And may there be no moaning of the bar,
When I put out to sea,
But such a tide as moving seems asleep,
Too full for sound and foam,
When that which drew from out the boundless deep
Turns again home.
Twilight and evening bell,
And after that the dark!
And may there be no sadness of farewell,
When I embark;
For tho’ from out our bourne of Time and Place
The flood may bear me far,
I hope to see my Pilot face to face
When I have crost the bar.

New Art Trail Set to Bring Colour and Creativity to Lytham This Summer
A brand-new Lytham Art Trail will launch this summer, offering both locals and visitors a new way to explore the town. From 18 July to 2 August, shop windows and café spaces across Lytham will come alive with artwork created by local artists and makers.
The trail will feature a mix of paintings, crafts, jewellery, ceramics and handmade pieces, all showcased in the windows of participating businesses. A printed and digital trail map will guide visitors around the town, ending at the Lytham St Annes Art Society Summer Exhibition.
Art trails are a proven way to bring communities together, highlight creative talent, and encourage people to explore the heart of a town. This inaugural trail adds to Lytham’s already strong creative spirit — and with this year’s event coinciding with the AIG Women’s Open Golf Championship at Royal Lytham, footfall is expected to be high.
The project has been developed with the support of Lytham Business Partnership, who recognise the positive impact the trail will have on the town’s independent shops and cafés.
A spokesperson for Lytham St Annes Art Society said:
“This trail is a celebration of everything that makes Lytham special — creativity, community and the wonderful businesses that give the town its unique character. We can’t wait for people to explore, discover and enjoy it.”

And may there be no sadness of farewell,
When I embark;
For tho’ from out our bourne of Time and Place
The flood may bear me far,
I hope to see my Pilot face to face
When I have crost the bar.

A partnership between Fylde Council and kite fliers SmileFactor10 with support from St Anne’s Town Council. The fabulous international kite festival returns to St Anne’s on Sea and will feature single line kites of all shapes and sizes, including inflatable octopus, flying cows, stingrays, whales, dogs and even hippos. Plus 2-line and 4-line stunt kites. It is a superb spectacle and the sky fills with plenty of colour and you can marvel at the expertise of kite flyers from the UK and all over the world.
Based either side of St Annes Pier, there will be specially a designated arena – the David Lidstone Arena to the left of the pier, with commentary from the kite fliers about their displays and encouraging you to watch the fabulous spectacle. Plus, for 2026 an artisan market featuring local producers in the Promenade Gardens.
The event is entirely weather dependent and the planned programme may change at short notice due to operational constraints or weather conditions. Please note a dog exclusion zone exists either side of St Annes pier and is clearly marked, but you can watch the display with your four legged friend from the Promenade or on the beach in the kite flying zones beyond the dog restriction area.
Planned kite flying timings (subject to change due to weather or reasons beyond control of the kite fliers):
- Friday 4th – 12 noon to 10pm
- Saturday 5th – 11am to 5pm (the fairground will operate into the evening)
- Sunday 6th – 11am to 4pm
We urge you to research and use existing car parks in St Annes away from the front as it will be very busy. There will be additional event parking clearly signposted. There are plenty of bus services, plus train link into St Annes on the Sea train station which is approximately 800 yards away from the front.

One of the biggest names in comedy, Ed Byrne, returns with a brand-new show and absolutely No Dramas as he hits the road in 2027.
In his last show, Ed delved deep into his most personal material, looking at how humour is defined by Tragedy Plus Time. It was also his most successful, named Best Reviewed Show at the Edinburgh Fringe in 2023 and going on to tour for almost two years to sell-out crowds, often returning to a venue to play a second or even third time.
Returning to what he does best – finding the funny in anything and everything, Ed just wants to live a life free of hassles or drama. He feels he’s earned it, but the world has other plans for him. Come, hear the conquistador of petty gripes air his grievances with a world hell bent on irritating the bejeezus out of us all and, who knows, perhaps it will make you feel better about your own bouts of impotent rage.

Event Details

The North West’s largest music festival will return to Lancashire for five nights in 2027.
As the sun set on the 15th anniversary of Lytham Festival, it is announced the huge music event will return next year from Wednesday June 30th to Sunday July 4. Five-day passes go on sale at 8am Friday via www.lythamfestival.com
PayPal customers can access the pre-sale from 8am tomorrow (MONDAY).
The announcement comes as this year’s festival, which attracted more than 110,000 people over five nights, drew to a close with global superstar Pitbull sensationally bringing the curtain down in front of 25,000 people.
Thousands of fans donned bald caps for the night – mimicking the Miami rapper’s trademark look – as their hero delivered on his pledge to “bring the party” to Lytham as part of his I’m Back world tour.
Pitbull told his adoring fans: “To all the baldies out there, thank you for the love and thank you for the commitment! Happy 15th Anniversary Lytham Festival!”
Ninety minutes of high-octane hits followed including Timber, Don’t Stop The Party, Hotel Room Service, Damn I Love Miami, Gasolina, International Love and the explosive anthem Fireball.
GRAMMY Award winning rapper and record producer Lil Jon was Pitbull’s very special guest with his set including such hits as Shots, Anaconda, Krazy and Outta Your Mind.
British rapper Tinchy Stryder also joined the Mr Worldwide party while DJ and producer PBH opened the show.
The festival has also seen headlining shows from vocal titan Teddy Swims, seven-time GRAMMY Award winning Alanis Morissette, international multi-award winning Michael Bublé and the most successful duo in UK music history Pet Shop Boys, with special guests and support artists including Lauren Spencer Smith, Skunk Anansie, Ronan Keating and Scissor Sisters.
Festival co-founder Peter Taylor said: “What a week! The plan was to make our 15th anniversary year very special and it is safe to say that is exactly what the past five days have been.
“We have welcomed some of the biggest names in music internationally and to have such a huge global star as Pitbull to close our party with a phenomenal performance was just perfect.
“So now it’s on to 2027. The dates are in the diary, the artists are being booked and we can’t wait to start making some exciting announcements very soon.”
